Persian Carpet Care:

• Frequent rotation of the sides of the rug and carpet is a must to prevent uneven wear. It is also recommended to rearrange the furniture on top of the carpet to avoid track marks and wearing down the threads. If possible, keep the carpet away from direct sunlight to avoid fading.
• Persian carpets are woven from wool and natural fibers. Therefore, you should consider vacuuming it at least once a week to remove loose dirt. Regular vacuuming will prevent the fibers from tangling.
• It is important to attend to any spillage on your area rugs and carpet immediately after it happens. This will prevent the stains from sitting into the carpet. However, do use bleach as it will damage the carpet.
• Flip the carpet end over end to straighten any twisted fringe. Do not comb the fringe as the natural fibers can be damaged. If you carpet is in a high-traffic area, turn it over occasionally to give the fiber side  a rest.
• Send you persian carpet for a professional deep cleaning. Moth and carpet beetles can destroy the carpet. Check the edges and area of your rug under furniture for any infestation. Act immediately if you see any bugs or eggs.
